Advent: Through the Eyes of the Prophets (Hope)(Jeremiah 33:14-16)
During the 19th century, a Lutheran pastor in a German orphanage grew tired having to answer the daily question of “Is it Christmas yet?” As a solution, he created a more robust version of the Advent wreath that we now proudly display. Each week of Advent is given a theme of, “Hope, Faith, Joy, and Peace”. During this Advent season, we are going to highlight the themed candle each Sunday, starting today with “Hope”.
