Preparing for our Second Preview Service!

Mark Bushuiakovish   -

Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him, “We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.” “Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” “Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied.” – John 1:45-46

It is hard to believe, but we are a little more than five weeks away from launch! In fact, this past Sunday marked the half-way point for our Core Team training. We spent this week focusing on John 1:43-51, the account of Philip inviting his friend Nathanael to meet Jesus. As Philip begins to describe who this Jesus of Nazareth is, Nathanael quickly expresses his doubts.

Sometimes, telling people about Jesus can be intimidating, with fear of not having the right words or answers for their questions and doubts. Philip provides for us an amazingly effective model for what to do in such a moment. His reply was simple but life changing “Come and see!”

As a team, we discussed what a “Come and See!” approach to community outreach and partnership could look like. We spent the majority of our time brainstorming ideas and ways to to extend that life-changing invitation to the people in the community of Spring Hill. It is exciting to see what God has in store for His Church.

We have also quite been busy discovering and finishing all of the little tasks that goes into setting-up a new space. From the ordering the Altar to programming the lights, setting up the kid’s spaces to designing the signage, it has been humbling watching the space take shape!

This Sunday, February 25th at 5:00 p.m. will be our second preview service. It will be a great opportunity to check out all the progress that has been made by the team and see for yourself what worship and fellowship will look like in this new location. We can’t wait to show off the place!
